Real Sociedad de Fútbol, more commonly referred to as Real Sociedad (Royal Society) or La Real, is a Spanish club in the city of San Sebastian a popular tourist destination of Basque country, founded on 7 September 1909.

It plays its home matches at the Anoeta stadium. Sociedad won the La Liga title in 1980–81 and 1981–82 and more recently finished runners-up in 2002–03. They also made a very recent appearance in the Champions League in the 2013/14 season where they faced the likes of Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen.
