Once these games have concluded and points have accumulated, the top eight teams will earn automatic qualification to the knockout stage. The following 16 teams will then take part in the playoffs to determine the remaining eight places in the Round of 16. Whilst the Champions League and Europa League play eight matches in their League Phases, the Conference League has chosen to go with six. This means teams will have less time to secure their spots in the knockout stage, making the stakes just that bit more intense and worth watching.
The Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany, is the venue of the grand finale, which is expected to take place on May 27th, 2026. This 47,800-seat stadium has been given a Category 4 classification and is the largest in Eastern Germany.
