Mallorca, also known as Real Club Deportivo Mallorca, were founded in 1916. Nicknamed “Los Bermellones” and “Los Piratas”, the club’s proudest moments came in 1999 and 2001 where they finished 3rd in La Liga. In terms of silverware, Mallorca have won 1 Copa del Rey and a Supercopa trophy, as well as 2 second division titles. Whilst they have come close to winning another Copa del Rey back in 2024, they are yet to win any recent honours.

They are currently under the leadership of Jagoba Arrasate, who was appointed back in June 2024 on a 3-year deal with the club. Interestingly, he is also the head coach of the Basque Country national football team.

Estadi Mallorca Son Moix was opened in 1999 and has been the site of the club ever since. It has a capacity of 23,142 with recent renovations being carried out to modernise the venue. There have also been talks for the ground to undergo further construction to increase its capacity to 40,000, but this is yet to take place.
